Abstract art holds a special place in my heart. Similar to dancing, unrehearsed visions float upon my mind while simultaneously flowing through my heart in an unannounced rhythm. Impulsive. Uncommon. Transformative. The rhythms in these pieces are a merge of photography, AI, texture and color theory selections.
Poppies are swept by the wind in these pieces, which began as photographs taken in my garden. The delicate white and red blooms were captured on a breezy summer day — a moment that stirred something quiet and reflective. The poppies are layered onto a customized texture creating an image that echoes the motion and atmosphere of that afternoon, transforming a simple floral scene into a rhythmic expression of movement, memory, and light.

Love conquers hate. This was created when America reeled from shock over seeing George Floyd's death. In the pain of watching violence and racism divide us, I needed a path to peace. A path that shows compassion, empathy and humanity....which is the intent of Kindness in Action.

Upon the finish of Moonbird, I found myself wondering if that was an actual word. Unbeknownst to me, I learned that Moonbird is a real bird.
Phillip Hoose wrote a book titled Moonbird: A Year on the Wind of the Great Survivor B95. The book is about the life of a Red Knot Rufa tagged with B95 on its leg. In honor of Phillip's book, I added B95 to my Moonbird.
