Artist Statement
Joy is an inward brightness – it is delight with substance.
This joy can hold us steady. It is reliable.
When CEV Art Gallery called for artists to enter their juried abstract exhibit, I immediately knew I would enter pieces from my Gold Collection. All five pieces were accepted and are seen in the showcase among the exceptionally talented artists who placed 1st - James Conlan and 2nd - David Garcia. The remaining artist are finalists. Of which, I am named. You are invited to visit the juried Abstract Art Exhibit that runs from September 28th through November 30, 2026.
“CEV Art Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of Abstract Art, our latest juried exhibition celebrating artists who push beyond literal representation through color, form, texture, movement, and expressive mark-making. After a juried selection process, we are pleased to recognize James Conlan as our 1st Place / Best in Show recipient, David Garcia as our 2nd Place recipient, and the remaining selected artists as finalists. Together, these artists represent a diverse range of approaches to abstraction and demonstrate the many ways contemporary artists use the language of abstract art to communicate ideas, emotions, atmosphere, and perspective.”
ICM is the acronym for intentional camera movement which means I don't remain still while I shoot. The ocean calls me for a visit on certain days. On this day, ICM was the technique used to explore, learn, discover what treasures may be in the bay and on the shore.
Catch Light Exhibitions aka Joy Sussman features artists chosen from submissions in Call For Art categories. Joy liked how my art “captured two movements of pure peace with the gentle movement of the waves and soft colors.” It was an honor to be chosen and recognized among 50 other artists in the exhibit. “Having spent some time with Pam on a photo shoot, it was clearly evident that she is an extremely knowledgeable, highly skilled photographer. She also knows how to work with the environment and get the best out of any given situation. I would recommend Pam without hesitation 100%. Rob Townley
LauraC is truly in a class of her own. She is innovative and a deeply gifted artist, and one of the most beloved voices in the New Age music world. Through her worship of Yahweh, she invites people into a deeper experience of peace, love, and acceptance of who they are.
Beyond her extraordinary music and ministry, she is someone I am deeply honored and proud to call my friend.
I had the distinct privilege of collaborating with LauraC on her CD titled Four Faces which can be found on her website: www.lauracmusic.com
That’s my photograph; it is the back cover of her CD.
Pam was truly a joy to work with. She has an artist’s eye, really helpful creative input, and the countenance of a poet. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to partner with her on my projects!
